The pillow case fabric
The pillowcase with perforated fabric is important because those perforations allow the air to circulate freely and the breathable 3D structure to work properly.
A conventional cotton pillowcase reduces breathability to just 60%. And if cotton fabric gets damp, it actually prevents the passage of air altogether. The polyester AeroSleep pillowcase allows moisture to pass straight through into the absorbent layer of the 3D structure, so your child can continue to breathe freely and stay dry. Polyester is also soft, hypoallergenic and prevents skin irritation and allergic reactions.
All of our products have undergone extensive scientific testing at independent research centres, are Oeko-tex and Certipur certified and comply with EN 16980, the general European safety standard for baby mattresses.

Frequently asked questions
A perforated fitted sheet is necessary to ensure the breathability of the 3D structure. The holes in the fabric allow air to circulate freely. A solid cotton sheet greatly reduces breathability. And when cotton gets wet, the fibres retain the moisture, so the fabric no longer allows air through at all. The AeroSleep fitted sheet is not only perforated but also made of polyester. So the fabric does not retain moisture, everything is immediately drained to the absorbent layer of the mattress protector, so your child can continue to breathe freely and stay dry. A must-have!
Want to try it out for it yourself? Lie face down on the mattress protector. With a perforated fitted sheet you can breathe freely, with a cotton fitted sheet it is more difficult. And with a wet cotton fitted sheet, it will be impossible.
